'Evening on the Usk'
Chromo-lithograph by JF Mullock 1876

A beautiful view of the River Usk below St Julians. The sun is well on its way to setting behind Twmbarlwm, a few boats are on the river while in the distance a train is steaming from Newport towards Caerleon.

This Chromo-lithograph was produced from an original painting by James Flewitt Mullock. Mullock is regarded by many to have been Newport's most significant Victorian artist.
