The sign above The Drovers' door tell us the licensee was E Johnson.
Kelly's Directory
for 1901 informs us that Edward Johnson ran the pub then - he
was still there in 1911 (John's Directory). By 1934 Walter Caller
was the licensee - see John's
1934 Directory.
Beyond that, we know nothing else about the picture,
save that the Meet gathered on the Common. Can YOU throw any light
