Andrej Ryshov
"Tarw- The Bull"

Andrej carefully researched Welsh mythology before leaving St Petersburg, and his bull or tarw
symbolises the part played by bulls in early Welsh tradition. He is the only sculptor working in
metal, and his bull, with its steel sinews and powerful frame, represents the strength and
potency associated with the animal.

Andrej was born in Krasnojarsk in 1961 and had his artistic training in St Petersburg. He has exhibited and taken part in symposia in Russia, Germany, Austria, Ukraine and Chechnya.
He was also curator of a Russian-Austrian group exhibition in St Petersburg.
