A
very early photo of the Bell, Ultra Pontem, Caerleon. Notice how
few trees are growing on the hill behind.
The circular patch may well be due to an animal being tethered on
a lead.
The scaffolding to the left of picture looks makeshift… the
one pole seeming to be a long bent branch!
Notice the elaborate porch on what is now Great House the guest
house.
