contacted us from his home in Sydney, Australia. Born and brought
up at 4 Lodge Avenue (subsequently renamed Roman Way) he describes
himself as a CAERLEONITE. He wrote:
"I thought you may be interested in a copy of a photo that
hangs on the wall of my home office. It is a carnival float from
circa 1955.
I can identify most of the people in the photo since we all came
from the Lodge area.

Perkins, Geoff Jamie, Ray Wollan, Brian Nixon,
BOTTOM/SITTING Left to Right
Brian Richards (my next elder brother) Clive Anstee, Andrew Jones,
me (Martin Richards) with air rifle, Tony Wollan (brother to Ray).
All the faces I remember clearly, just the ravages of time on
my memory for recalling names. "
