"The sculpture depicts Merlin, Guinevere and King Arthur. It is carved from oak. Hopefully it captures the spirit of the Sixth Century. Arthur - a Welsh king - is wearing a dark age warriors helmet topped with a dragon.

   The problem I've had with the work is that I was given a hollow tree at the start, which didn't fit in with my original concept. I've had to insert Guinevere into the hollow - but I think it's worked well."
