Below are pictures of the Little Eaton Gangway in Denby constructed by Benjamin Outram and opened in 1795. This 5 mile long track was built around the same time as the Caerleon Tramroad to carry coal to the Derby Canal at Little Eaton. The photos are from Some Chapters in the History of Denby by Mark Fryar published in 1934. They were taken just before the line closed in 1908. Until we unearth pictures of the Caerleon Tramroad these photos are probably the finest images we could have to help us visualise what it looked like.
